7 Tips To Not Lose Your Soul As A Freelancer
Being a freelancer is exhausting. Of course, you’re a freelancer because you want to choose when, where and for how much you work. However, as you know, it’s much harder than that. The thought of going back to a full time job doesn’t appeal but freelancing tests your mental health. In the beginning of freelancing, I was all over the shop but having freelanced for a little while now, here are a few tips that have helped me not lose my soul!
How To Generate Consistent Cash Flow | With Žiga Fajfar
For Episode 10, my guest is Žiga Fajfar, the co-founder of FlowOut Studio, the Unlimited Webflow design & development subscription service.
The part of this interview that really stuck out to me was when Ziga talked about cashflow. I think a lot of webflow freelancers get in to freelancing because they want freedom to work on projects they want to work on, at a time that suits them. The problem is that in reality, you need to be good at the business side of freelancing to have that freedom - a constant stream of client work with decent budgets, and most freelancers don’t have that (certainly not at the start). They have feast or famine with good months and bad months.
Having a couple of retainer clients as a freelancer makes so much sense to ensure that your costs are covered even in the slow months. Getting consistent cash flow is what I need to focus on too so Ziga gave me the kick to reach out to companies to offer a retainer rate for my webflow services! I hope you do to!
In this episode we talk about:
1) Focussing on the general market or niching
2) Pros and cons of fixed price projects
3) Being too attached to individual projects and clients
3 Inspirational Webflow Websites
1) Rollie

Love how simple this site is. Really nice animations and shows off the colourful and clever work really nicely with flair!
